First part of July 2017

Here's some random highlights for the first part of July.

An update of Devry:

She's done amazing. Not perfect. But really well. She loves her treats and she loves her stickers.

Now this. This is awesome. One day we were headed to the pool and Ryan decided to write our name on the pool noodle. He made it through a couple letters and then stopped and said, "I forgot how to spell our name." I looked at it and couldn't stop laughing. For starters, he was trying to write it backwards, tracing over the remnants of where it had been. But when he got the "M" he accidentally turned it into an "A." I teased him relentlessly saying that I have my pregnancy brain moments, but I've never misspelled my own last name. Who is "Aon?" It was even better in the pool because Pierscen was asking why we were using that pool noodle since it clearly wasn't ours... Hahahaha!

This sweet picture shows just how much this girl loves her Harper. She went through a phase of hiding Harper, but then we couldn't find her. Consequently she didn't have her for several days. Once she was found, there was much rejoicing in the land. :)

Botanical gardens with friends! Aka "The Boys"... and Devry. :)

When we reached the Japanese gardens we discovered that we were there on the right day for Tanabata. We had stumbled upon the remnants of these origami notes the previous year, but didn't know what it was for. So this was neat to learn the tradition and take part. Of course, a lot of the wishes were for silly things, but there were also some heartbreaking wishes like, "I wish I had a dad." :( Pretty cool thing to take part of.

Fuzzy wuzzy was a bear. Now Fuzzy Wuzzy isn't very fuzzy. And I love it.

07/11 was free stuff day! We started off by going to A Park Above for a while.

Then we headed to 7/11 to get our first ever free slurpees. The kids were very happy about this!

Ryan had a meeting that night or something, so we took advantage of another free food day and went to Chick-fil-A for Cow Appreciation day. This was also a first for us and we had a lot of fun!

I'm thinking Disneyland would probably blow this little guys mind considering how much he was shaking with excitement to meet the cow. Hahaha!

Balloon Museum with our pal Leo.

On a walk with Dodger. Amazing sunset.

And a crazy bug! It was huge! I picked it up and carried it home, paranoid the entire time it was going to come back to life. I initially thought it was a Tarantula Hawk Wasp - the New Mexico state insect, but I was WAY wrong. It is a Cicada Killer. Which in hindsight sight makes sense because the cicadas were everywhere! And so so loud!

There are some pictures of our incredible sunflowers and garden. There was one week where the flowers were growing so fast that Ryan kind of jokingly said, "I bet they will be as tall as the wall by the end of the week." We didn't really expect it to happen, but then it did. And then some! Look how huge they are!

The kids love their fresh produce and digging for worms. Pierscen had a carrot in one hand and a worm in the other. He started laughing and said, "Whoops! I almost took a bite of the worm instead of the carrot!" Oh what a horrible parent I must be for wishing that had happened! It would have been hilarious!

And just for comparison sake, there is a picture of Ryan next to the flowers. There is at least one plant that is literally double his height. Crazy!

Home Depot run for totes to organize baby clothes. Fun, cute little helpers.

Random picture to show how long and how blonde Devry's hair has gotten.

Very typical summer morning - hot air balloons cruising floating right over our house. This is a pretty neat place to live, you guys. :)

Pierscen leading Devry in some exercises. It was really cute. And when Devry decided she was done, she slowly just started rolling away. It was super funny.

And lastly, goggle babies, water babies! These kids love the pool!
