March 2016

I got home from Utah and look at the progress of our garden! Peas, lettuce, radishes, and carrots.

Having fun with hair styles:

15 month check up. Rosy cheeks from teething, but healthy otherwise. She made it up to about the 12th percentile for weight this visist, which was incredible! That didn't last long though. :(

We had to stop at DQ for their free ice cream day. The kids loved it. Who can turn down free ice cream?

My favorite thing from this visit was watching Pierscen flirt with the teenage girls. Haha.

A Park Above opened just a few minutes away from us (20 min walk or 5 min drive). I don't remember if I posted any pictures from this before and when they opened for sure, but this park is incredible. There is something for everyone!

I had to take these pictures because it was only March and we busted out the kiddie pool! I wasn't terribly nice and sent these photos in friends in Wyoming who were still buried in snow. ;)

Pierscen found a tiny toad. There were a hand full of these in our yard this year. These tiny guys could be found in the sprinkler box where it was dark and cool.

The Balloon Museum had a morning where you could take a free tethered balloon ride. There was no turning down that opportunity! This was not kiddie pool weather. It was actually really cold! But it was so fun! The balloon that we happened to choose barely made it off the ground, which was a totally bummer considering the others were going way higher, but hey - now we know and we will go again next year. :)

As fun as the balloon ride was, I think Pierscen's day was made by the fact that we ran into Elsa and Ana on the way back to our car. You would not believe how start struck he was. They asked if he wanted a hug and he almost knocked them over. He was grinning from ear to ear and was almost shaking as we made it back to the car. It was pretty awesome!

Easter weekend arrived, and someone on the ward FB page posted about a free egg hunt, food and bounce house at the dentist office from someone that used to be in the ward. Again, who can turn down free stuff? So I took Pierscen and we had a grand old time, even if we didn't know a soul there. Ha!

This beautiful Easter dress was from my mom, and here is Pierscen sporting his suit from Grandma Ray Ray. They are so cute! Easter outfits are the best! Thank you mom and Rayola!

Couldn't help it. I love this picture. Hahaha!

This was another one of those random moments. This is what happens when a 4-year-old tries to fit in the Bumbo.

I did a little Easter egg hunt for P here at the house too. Devry was sleeping, so she didn't get to play this time. Thankfully Pierscen was happy to share his bounty.

Another random moment: Pierscen decided to sleep in the bottom of the linen closet. He actually slept really well, though he did hit his head getting out.

And here is Devry's Easter outfit from Rayola. I sure love these kids!

Playing at the park and mastering new skills:

I introduced Pierscen to artichokes, not expecting much, and guess what? He LOVES them! He said they are his new favorite thing. He devoured them.

Braids!

The next big thing for our ward was grass. Ryan ordered a special kind of grass that is meant for hot locations, is very drought resistant, doesn't grow very tall, but is super soft and meant for kids and dogs. It's called African Dogtooth Grass or something. He had to order it from a nursery from Colorado. Due to arrive in April, the boys began turning the soil and tilling in manure and mulch. It was a long, tough job, but I'm grateful for these two tough men for seeing it through.

It was another great month! More fun to come.
