The next time I was parent helper at school, I snapped some pictures of the decor for the new unit. I'm telling you guys, this school is incredible! Next up for study: New Mexico!
(The pictures below were from another parent helper day, but I wanted so show Pierscen in the balloon. It had some fun gadgets inside as well as a real weighted sand bag to lift and lower.)
Each day they pick out three kids who are recognized for something they did. This first day of the new unit, Pierscen was chosen for being a good listener. Last unit they earned the Paleonologist award. This time they were the Enchanted New Mexicans. ;) They let each of the kids pick out a costume, then they played some music and the kids clapped for them. Then they get to sit at a special table for snack. Pierscen's getup was pretty funny. Good job little buddy! So excited to see what you learn about our state!
