Going Once... Going Twice... SOLD!

Our trip to San Diego was a good chance to talk about the house we were looking at... but like at home, we didn't talk about it much. It went something like this:

"So Ryan, are we getting that house?"

"I thought so. Isn't that the plan?"

"Yeah. Sounds good to me."

The lack of talking was strange, but I think we both just felt that there wasn't much to say. We both loved the house. But as mentioned before, talking about it made it real. And buying a house is scary. It's big kid business. Next to marriage and kids, it's the biggest decision you can make!

When we got home, Ryan built up the courage and called our agent to make an offer. In Wyoming you can make a verbal offer and it doesn't have to be on paper until the offer is accepted. We went back and forth on our offers a couple of times and just like that - boom! Accepted!

Holy cow! Did we just buy a house?!

A couple of days later we decided to drive by the house and see if they had a sold or contract pending sign up. Sure enough...

Tada! SOLD!!!

Yes, this is the only picture we have. We drive by all creepy like on a fairly regular basis... but I can't bring myself to take any other pictures. Sure, it's our house... well, going to be our house... but it's not ours yet. Besides, I think this picture is great. All that overgrown foliage hiding the house. It keeps a mystery about it. ;) That front area is something I am quite excited to tackle. Give it some real curb appeal.

Unfortunately we have to give our current place 60 days notice, so we aren't closing until August 28th. It's so close! Thankfully, since we have been in this little one bedroom, one bath apartment on only a 6 month lease, we haven't unpacked a whole lot. It will make moving quite a bit easier.

A house! Can you believe it?! I still can't. We are so excited! So soon we will have pictures and revamp plans and an open door policy. Come say hi!
